GENERAL CONSTRUCTION LABORER II

JOB SUMMARY OVERVIEW

This is a skilled management position in which employee is responsible for the building of structures and buildings, loading and unloading materials, working with concrete, machines, assisting carpenters, or any other construction jobs that may be assigned.

REPORTS TO

This position reports to the General Construction Foreman.

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Assist in building structures for business and construction sites

Remove trees and other construction debris as necessary

Pump concrete, grout, cement, sand, and/or plaster

Operate some small machinery

Assist in any other construction tasks assigned

SKILLS

Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used for construction jobs

Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work

Understand math functions and calculations involving fractions

Skill in the use and care of the tools and supplies related to the work

Ability to work with others

Maintain a professional and courteous manner

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships

EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Construction Experience Required

Inside/Outside Working Environment

Employee may be asked to lift heavy equipment and supplies

Employee may be asked to stand, climb, walk, balance, crouch, etc. for periods of time

Employee must be able to orally or visually communicate with supervisors and crew members

 

CONCRETE LABOR I

JOB SUMMARY OVERVIEW

This is a labor position in which the employee constructs or repairs concrete structures 

REPORTS TO

This position reports to the Concrete Foreman.

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Build, install, and align forms for various concrete structures and foundations

Cut and place reinforcing wire mesh, preparing appropriate sand and cement mixtures and placing, pouring, and rough leveling of concrete

Finish concrete by floating, trowelling, edging, and brushing in accordance with specification

Use hand tools and non-complex small power tools to perform minor maintenance as required

Perform other related duties as required

Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used for concrete jobs

Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work

Understand math functions and calculations involving fractions

Skill in the use and care of the tools and supplies related to the work

Ability to work with others

EXPERIENCE

SKILLED CARPENTRY I

JOB SUMMARY OVERVIEW

This is a labor position in the construction or repair of wood structures

REPORTS TO

This position reports to the Framing Foreman.

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Precisely measure, cut, and assemble framing lumber

Work with Framing Foreman and framing crew

Assist in other carpentry jobs as needed

SKILLS

Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used for framing and carpentry jobs

Understand math functions and calculations involving fractions

Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work

Skill in the use and care of the tools and supplies related to the work

Ability to work with others

Maintain a professional and courteous manner

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships

EXPERIENCE
