#1 LANDSCAPE LABORER

This is a labor position in which the employee is responsible for the maintenance of landscape gardens using tools, materials, and equipment as directed.

JOB TYPE: Seasonal full-time

REPORTS TO

This position reports to the property maintenance supervisor

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Maintenance of landscape beds at a variety of commercial buildings—weeding, trimming, planting, watering, and cleanup of trash, leaves, etc. as needed

Maintain landscape equipment

SKILLS

Care and use of the materials, tools and other equipment used for landscaping

Ability to maintain a safe environment while working in a variety of settings

Ability to work with others

Maintain a professional and courteous manner

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

EXPERIENCE

Landscape experience preferred

WORK CONDITIONS

Outside working environment

Employee may be asked to stand, walk, balance, crouch, etc for periods of time

Employee may be asked to lift bags of dirt and supplies

Employee must be able to orally or visually communicate with supervisors and crew members

 

#2 Apartment Maintenance Tech

This is a skilled position in which the employee is responsible for the maintenance and vacated apartment turns of the apartment complex. This position is based on but not limited to the Chantacleer Residences at 1400 Garret Lane.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

REPORTS TO

This position reports to the apartment manager

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Promote a positive and safe work environment

Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting of the apartment community

Repairing and treating apartment structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors

Make units ready for move-ins

Emergency maintenance as needed

Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program

Pool maintenance

Work with other maintenance personnel to coordinate with special projects as directed

Rotating on call and weekend hours

SKILLS

Time management

Construction knowledge

Basic HVAC knowledge

Basic plumbing knowledge

Professional and courteous manner

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Ability to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships

Basic computer skills including the ability to use maintenance software programs

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma required

College degree preferred

Driver’s license required

WORK CONDITIONS

Inside/outside apartment community

Employee may be asked to stand, climb, walk, balance, crouch, etc. for periods of time

Employee may be asked to lift heavy equipment and supplies

Employee must be able to orally or visually communicate
